Breguet 14B2

A paper model of the Breguet 14B2 light bomber was made in 1:33 scale. The work was awarded at the 8th Competition of Paper and Plastic Models in Świdnik, Poland in 2014.

The Breguet 14 plane (abbreviated Bre 14) was a French aircraft produced between 1917 and 1928 (the name Breguet XIV was used until 1918). It had a wood-duralumin structure and was considered one of the best aircraft involved in the First World War. It was fast, easy to pilot and resistant to damage. The plane was being manufactured as a bomber (designation B2) or a reconnaissance aircraft (A2).

After the war, the Bre 14 was used in air transport. One of the airline companies (Compagnie des Messageries Aériennes), in which 25 Bre 14 flew, was founded by the aircraft designer Luis Breguet. An interesting fact is that Antoine de Saint-Exupéry, the later author of "The Little Prince", flew the Salmson II and the Breguet 14 planes in other airlines established in 1918.

About 8,000 Breguet 14 aircraft were produced.
