Junkers Ju 88D

A paper model of the Junkers Ju 88D multi-role plane was made in 1:33 scale. The work was represented at the 8th Competition of Paper and Plastic Models in Świdnik, Poland in 2014.

The letter "D" in the marking informs that there is a reconnaissance version of the aircraft in the photos.

The German twin-engine Junkers Ju 88 plane was one of the most versatile machines in World War II. It was primarily a bomber, but also performed very well as a night fighter and reconnaissance aircraft.

The first flight of the Ju 88 was on December 21, 1936. The first combat action took place in 1939 in the North Sea, when planes attacked British ships. The Junkers Ju 88 aircraft began their mass participation in World War II from the Battle of Britain, 1940. The German Ju 88 planes flew until the end of the World War II, while the French and Romanian aircraft flew several years longer.
