Plastic model of the American Cessna A-37B Dragonfly attack aircraft

The plastic model of the Cessna A-37B Dragonfly attack aircraft was built from the Academy kit and enriched with parts from SBS Model, Eduard and the Armycast kits. In addition, many details were made from scratch. These include oxygen tubes, the map, the fairing actuator, the armament compartment, the ammo drum, the armament compartment cover, control surfaces, the landing light, antennas and the pitot tube, ammo crates and Hydra 70 unguided rocket crates. These parts were made by a modeller from wire, pieces of polystyrene and medical needles.

In 2015, the model presented in the photos took the 1st place at the 6th International Lusatian Competition of Plastic and Cardboard Reduction Models in the jet aircraft category.

Between 1963 and 1975, 577 copies of the Cessna A-37B aircraft were produced. The "B" version of the aircraft had a strengthened airframe and increased fuel tank capacity. It also had in-flight refueling capability.
