Messerschmitt Bf 109 G-8
The Messerschmitt Bf 109 G-8 was a reconnaissance version of the German WWII fighter plane. The plastic model was made in 1:48 scale from the set of Fujimi company. Photographs were taken at the 11th International Festival of Plastic Reduction Models Bytom 2014.
The Messerschmitt Bf 109 was a German single-seater fighter with a metal structure. It was produced in the years 1937-1945. A total of about 30,500 copies were made of all versions. The G-8 version was equipped with two cameras. About 900 such aircraft were produced (August 1944 - February 1945).
Fighters operated the longest in Spain, where they were withdrawn from service only in 1965.
The advantage of the Messerschmitt Bf 109 was its high maneuverability in the speed range of 350-420 km/h, which was superior to English planes. Besides, it was very difficult to pilot, especially during the take-off and landing phases. Taxiing at the airport was also difficult due to limited visibility from the cabin.
