Mig-29 UB

The plastic model of the plane was made in 1:32 scale from the Revell kit.

The Mig-29 UB is a training, two-seat version of the modern Russian front-line fighter. An additional seat was installed in front of the pilot's seat. Compared to the basic version of the Mig-29, the school version is only 100 mm (3.94 in) longer. Due to the small amount of space in the nose of the plane, an ordinary radio rangefinder was installed instead of the radar station.

Production started in 1983. Until today (May 2015), the aircraft remains in active service in many countries. The advantage of the structure is the possibility of quick service at field airports. Five mechanics are able to replace and test the engine in less than an hour. An interesting fact is that, in the event of problems with one engine, Mig-29 can take off on one engine and fire the other in the air. It can do even when fully loaded.
