The photos show a plastic model of the North American Rockwell OV-10 Bronco aircraft from the VAL-4 „Black Ponies” squadron. The „Black Ponies” took part in the Vietnam War in 1969-1972. The model was built in a 1:72 scale from an Academy kit.

The OV-10A Bronco was a light attack and observation aircraft. During the Vietnam War it was also used as a helicopter escort. It was introduced into service with the US Army in 1969. Serial production was ended in 1986. By then, 360 copies had been produced.
