PZL M-28 Skytruck

A resin model of the PZL M-28 Skytruck aircraft was made in 1:48 scale. The miniature won the Grand Prix of the competition and a distinction at the 10th Lublin Model Making Meetings in 2015.

The PZL M-28 Skytruck was a modified version of the Soviet An-28 aircraft. The An-28 was produced under license in Mielec, Poland, from 1983. PZL Mielec had an order from the USSR for 1,200 copies of An-28. In 1990, after the collapse of the Soviet Union, the order was canceled.

The manufacturer had to look for other outlets. In order to sell an aircraft in the West (Europe), its quality had to be improved. It became necessary to design a new version of the aircraft and equip it with better engines. This is how the PZL M-28 Skytruck machine was created, which made its first flight in 1993.

Skytruck has excellent low speed flight characteristics. It can be operated at small grass airstrips. The design of the cabin interior allows for the interchangeable use of various equipment. Inside, you can install passenger seats, cargo securing system, sanitary or landing troop equipment.
