Cardboard model of the T-28 tank

Model was made in 1:25 scale. The work was awarded at the 8th Competition of Paper and Plastic Models in Świdnik, Poland in 2014.

The T-28 was a Soviet-made tank. Serial production started in 1933. The T-28 had 3 turrets. The main turret had a cannon, and the two smaller ones had machine guns. An interesting fact is that at the beginning of its service, the T-28 was a tank with the largest gun caliber in the world - 76.2 mm (3 in).

The T-28 took part in border battles with Japan, in aggression against Finland and Poland, and in the first months of battles with Germany in World War II. During the conflict with Finland, it turned out that the armor of the tank was too thin. After modernization, its thickness in the front part reached 80 mm.

Production of the T-28 tank had discontinued when the T-34 tank introduced in service. By 1940, 503 copies were produced.
