Plastic model of the Flak 36 8,8 cm

The Flak 36 was a German anti-aircraft gun from the Second World War. The model was made in 1:18 scale. The work got a distinction at the 11th International Festival of Plastic Reduction Models Bytom 2014 in Poland.

The Flak 36 gun introduced to serve in the late 1930s. It was an improved version of the Flak 18 gun that had been produced since 1933.

The gun was intended for use in anti-aircraft defense. However, it quickly turned out to be an excellent anti-tank gun that could be used against all types of vehicles. The cannon was long-range and accurate, and the shells could penetrate armor 150 mm (5.9 in) thick at 2 km (1¼ mi).

There was also a stationary version of the gun. Production of the Flak 36 continued until 1945.
