Liberty ship

A plastic model of the Liberty ship was made in 1:350 scale. The work received a distinction and a special award of the KAGERO Publishing House for the most interesting ship at the 12th International Festival of Plastic Reduction Models Bytom 2015.

Ships of this type were being produced during World War II in the USA and Canada. It was a mass production characterized by a simplified design and low cost. As a result, about 100 ships sank due to manufacturing defects. For comparison, 196 ships were sunk by the enemy. A total of 2,751 copies were produced. The construction of one ship took 40 days.
