Diorama with an atypical tank
The diorama was built in 1:35 scale. The inspiration for its taking was an archival photo found on the Internet, showing a Tiger abandoned on the road. The tank was photographed from the front and you can see that it was covered with an unusual Zimmerit for this vehicle. The Zimmerit pattern covering the Tiger was rather characteristic of the StuG self-propelled guns.
The Tiger tanks were produced in the years 1942-1944. During this time, they were modified many times, which was visible in their appearance. This means that it was possible to determine the period when the tank was produced by its appearance. The Tiger in the photo is also unusual in this regard. This tank looks as if it was assembled from parts from different production periods.
The Dragon kit was used to build the model of this tank, which was modified according to the photo. Zimmerit was added from the Atak Model set. The electric tower standing on the square was built of parts made by vacuum forming. The tree was bought in a store, and the lantern was made of the MiniArt set.
Here you can see the photo on the basis of which the model Tiger tank was made.
