Plastic model Bergetiger vehicle

The diorama was made on the basis of a photo from the Internet. The model Bergetiger vehicle was built in 1:35 scale from the Ryefield Model Kit containing parts for assembling the German Bergepanzer Tiger I engineering vehicle. The work was enriched with the Voyager firm photo etched parts.

The diorama was built on the basis of the photo. The photot was taken in Italy in 1944. It shows a German military vehicle converted from a Tiger, damaged and abandoned on the side of the road. Bergetiger is the name given by the Allies to the found vehicle.

Its purpose was probably the repair of military vehicles immobilized during combat. A light crane made it possible to replace the engine, gearbox or wheel.
