Plastic model of the German PaK 43/41 anti-tank gun

The diorama represents a plastic model of the German 8.8 cm PaK 43/41 anti-tank gun used during the Second World War. The model was built from the Dragon set. Parts from the Voyager kit were also used in the construction. The whole was made in 1:35 scale.

The Pak 43 gun had a four-wheeled carriage. Due to the insufficient number of such chassis, the cannon was also producing on a two-wheeled carriage. This two-wheeled version was designated PaK 43/41.

Modified Pak 43 guns were also using in armoured vehicles such as the Jagdpanther, the Elephant, the Nashorn and the Tiger II tank.

The gun could fire at a rate of 6 to 10 rounds per minute. The projectile left the barrel at a speed of 1030 m/s (3,380 ft/s).
