Diorama with the Nebelwerfer 42 missile weapon

The diorama presents a plastic model of the Nebelwerfer 42 rocket launcher, 210 mm (8¼ in) caliber. The model was glued from the Lion Roar box and enriched with photo-etched parts from Great Wall Hobby. Soldier figures come from Dragon. However, they were enriched with resin heads, and the horse was entirely made of resin from scratch. The diorama was made in 1:35 scale.

The Nebelwerfer was a series of German rocket launchers. They were began to produce in the 1930s and continued until the end of World War II. Particular types of this weapon differed in the construction of the barrels, caliber and range.

The Nebelwerfer 42 launcher fired 210 mm (8¼ in) high-explosive shells. The mass of such the missile was 112.5 kg (248 lb), and the range was 7850 m (8585 yd). The ignition of the rocket was being electrically initiated.

The weight of the launcher, consisting of 5 guides mounted on a cart, was 540 kg (1190½ lb). The launcher was usually operated by 4 soldiers.
