Diorama representing a British command post - WW2

The diorama was made in 1:35 scale and depicts a British command post somewhere in North Africa during the Second World War. The scene was invented by the modeller.

There are 3 plastic models on the diorama. The first one is the British AEC 4x4 armoured command vehicle, called Dorchester by the soldiers, glued together from the AFV Club kit. The next models are the Bedford QL truck and the British 57 mm anti-tank gun carried on it. Both models were glued together from one Italeri set.

AEC 4x4 Dorchester vehicles were produced from 1941 to 1949. 415 copies were made.

The Bedford QL trucks were produced in Great Britain in various versions especially for the army. Production lasted in the years 1941-1945 and amounted to over 50,000 copies.

There is a plastic model of the Ordnance QF 6-pounder on the Bedford QL truck. It was a British-made 57 mm anti-tank gun and was producing in different versions. There was also a tank version of this gun.
