„Defense of the Rhine” diorama
The diorama was made on a 1:35 scale and shows a scene from World War II invented by the modeller. The obstacle the Allies had to overcome to reach Berlin was the Rhine. The Germans failed to defend the river crossing. The battle ended after 4 days, on March 27, 1945.
There are two plastic models of armored vehicles in the diorama.
One of them is the Sherman Firefly, a British version of the American M4 Sherman tank. The marking shows that it belongs to the Canadian Army. The model was made from a kit of Dragon and enriched with photo-etched parts from Voyager.
The second one is the German Jagdpanther vehicle. It is a self-propelled gun built on the chassis of the Panther tank. The model was assembled from a Tamiya kit and enriched with resin parts from Jaguar and photo-etched plates from Aber.
