Paratrooper

A figurine of a soldier from the 1st Independent Parachute Brigade was made in 1:16 scale. The work received a distinction at the 12th International Festival of Plastic Reduction Models Bytom 2015.

The 1st Independent Parachute Brigade was formed in Great Britain in 1941. It was a parachute infantry brigade of the Polish Armed Forces in the West. It was created in order to use it for fighting in Poland. However, the British did not agree to transfer him to Poland. Ultimately, the Brigade took part in the fighting on the Western Front in Operation Market Garden, and later served in Germany in the British zone of occupation. The brigade was disbanded in 1947.
