Plastic model of the Bell UH-1V Medevac helicopter
The photos represent a plastic model of the American Bell UH-1 helicopter in version V, i.e. adapted for medical evacuation (Medevac). The model was built on a 1:72 scale based on photos taken at the National Vietnam War Museum in Orlando, Florida, USA.
The helicopter (Bell 205), the scale model of which is shown in the photos, could carry up to 6 stretchers.
Earlier versions of this machine: UH-1A, UH-1B and UH-1C, i.e. Bell 204 according to the manufacturer's designation, had a shorter cabin and could only carry up to 3 stretchers. They can be identified by the fact that the passenger compartment does not have a hinged front door and the sliding door has only one window. You can see such helicopters here: The UH-1B helicopter and the M113 transporter together on one diorama and here: The Last Flight - Vietnam 1967.
